Brownsville South Padre International Airport Complete!

The Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport is the newest major airport in South Padre, Texas. With quick access to the Gulf of Mexico and US Interstate Highway, this airport serves as a strategic hub for all international and domestic airlines, as well as private aviation operators.

Texas Bomanite contracted with SpawGlass Contractors to provide 42,300 SF of Bomanite Modena System. Tyler Balch, Vice President / Principal, started working with CORGAN in December 2017 on the initial design.

For this project, we used Nickle Gray Bomanite Modena SL, polished to an 800 Grit with Stabilzer Poly-Pro and VitraFinish as the chemicals used. We used the color “Warm Stone” for the joint filler. Additionally, 2 sets of stair treads were installed with the Bomanite Modena SL system.
