Tanger Outlets
Completed in October 2017, Tanger Outlets is an open-air outlet mall in far north Fort Worth, located just south of the Texas Motor Speedway.Β The mall features 70 popular stores, snack-centered eateries like the Great American Cookie Company and Texas-inspired artwork in the courtyards such as a life-sized steel sculpture of a longhorn and a fire pit.Β
To add to the Texas-themed look, Texas Bomanite was called in to install over 145,000 SF of architectural concrete. The project incorporates 5 different patterns and colors of outdoor walkways, each adding different interest and ambience.Β Β Before the project was underway, Texas Bomanite produced 6 different mock-ups to provide a visual for the general contractor and the architect (Adams + Associates Architecture) to demonstrate exactly what each pattern and color would look like to help aide in the decision-making process.Β
The most frequently used pattern was the Broom Finish in Sandstone Buff integral color, coming in at over 43,000 SF.Β The Canyon Stone pattern was integrated into the plan measuring 38,572 SF, in the Antique Beige color with Sonora Tan flashing and Natural Gray release. 29,951 SF of the project were in the Medium Ashlar Slate pattern colored with Sandstone Buff, flashed with Burberry Beige and released with Durango Tan.Β The Wood Plank pattern was used for 16,017 SF and colored with Westwood Brown integral color with Forest Brown release.Β Finally, Used Brick Textured Skin with a Tooled Joint every 2β was applied to 7,114 SF in the Ash White integral color, Bisque Tan release. The entire project was sealed with Bomanite Hydrolock.Β
