Rothko Chapel

Texas Bomanite was asked by Linbeck Group to add Bomanite Colored Exposed Aggregate to the pool deck of Rothko Chapel in Houston, Texas.

Rothko Chapel is a renowned non-denominational chapel whose interior is both a place of worship and a revered work of modern art, donning paintings by Mark Rothko himself. On the pool deck, 5470 SF of ⅜” Exposed Aggregate was installed over the course of 24 days.

To compliment the chapel’s aesthetic, the Exposed Aggregate was stained in the color “Oyster.”
