Bluffview Residence Wrap Up
Back in March of last year, we told you about our recent and rare venture into the residential realm of construction. We were invited to complete the flooring in a truly unique home designed by Lake Flato Architects out of San Antonio. The design of the home is called “Porch House” and is a gathering of small buildings, or “pavilions” and the materials used to construct the pavilions are sustainable and local, allowing for the homes to be LEED certified. Each grouping of pavilions in the Porch House design surrounds a water feature or other environmental feature that is specific to the homeowner and home site.
The concrete floors (used in all of the buildings) received the Bomanite Custom Polishing System. The floors also received a deep grind and were honed to a 1500 grit finish to complete the Vitraflor process. This type of concrete flooring can fit a wide range of venues from rustic to refined. The home has since been completed and professionally photographed. For more information about the Porch House design and Lake Flato Architects, visit www.lakeflatoporchhouse.com.
