Texas Bomanite was contacted by Reconstruction Experts to replace the existing exterior front entry stairs and landing at the Villa de Leon residential high rise in Fort Worth.
Due to some issues with variation in the riser heights, the stairs were originally going to be demolished and replaced with new full depth stamped concrete. When demo began however, a concrete vault was discovered below that prevented the full depth removal of concrete. Given this challenge, Texas Bomanite proposed repairing the area that was damaged by the initial demo, and correcting the riser height issues by using a repair mortar and installing a Bomanite Thin-Set overlay. The existing concrete entry stairs were covered with archistone to match the building facade, so in order to match their original aesthetic, we used colored and stamped concrete in Slate Texture to successfully reconstruct the stairs and landing in less than one week’s time.
We were grateful to work alongside Reconstruction Experts to help problem-solve and accomplish a beautiful finished product.
