As we reflect on our recent project for the Texas Bankers Association (TBA) in downtown Austin, it stands as a proud example of our dedication to innovative design and craftsmanship in partnership with Beck Group. The groundbreaking for TBA’s new headquarters in July 2021 marked the beginning of a transformative journey, and we were excited to be at the heart of this new era for TBA.
Transforming the Lobby: A Testament to Detail
In the lobby, our team crafted a custom Modena TG interior with meticulous attention to detail. Opting for a white base, we ground the surface to fully expose the aggregates – the locally sourced Blanco Mexicano from Cactus Canyon. This not only added a local flavor but also created a visually captivating texture. Polishing the floor to a 400 grit finish, we ensured it radiated elegance across the 1900 square feet space. The inclusion of zinc strips was a thoughtful addition, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal.
Seamless Elegance: The Exterior Interface
Outside, we chose Bomanite Revealed for the exterior, mirroring the Modena mix of the lobby to maintain a seamless transition from the front porch into the building. Covering 250 square feet, this approach not only upheld the design continuity but also accentuated the aggregates, showcasing our versatility in working with concrete.
A New Benchmark
This project for the TBA not only reshaped a part of downtown Austin but also set a new benchmark in design and craftsmanship. By melding aesthetic appeal with functional design, we’ve created a space that resonates with innovation and elegance, a true reflection of our commitment to excellence in concrete craftsmanship.
