The first Uncle Julio’s Mexican restaurant opened its doors in Dallas in November of 1986 and has expanded to 17 restaurants in 6 states. The newest Uncle Julio’s opened in July 2013 in the heart of downtown Austin at 301 Brazos Street.
Texas Bomanite was brought on to provide over 5,870 sf of custom-stained, low-maintenance and high durability concrete floors. Like many of our jobs, we were brought in very early by the interior designer and were able to fine-tune the exact desired look of the project through providing several samples of colors and stencil designs. In order to complete the antique and rustic look, we used multiple colors of acid stain (specifically Bomanite Auburn, Seal Brown and Ebony) and a custom antiquing and weathering process as well as stenciled a patterned border around the perimeter. We sealed with an epoxy primer and two-part urethane sealer, Bomanite Florthane WB.
We enjoyed working with the Uncle Julio’s company as well as the interior decorators, GHA Architecture, and general contractors, RCC Associates out of Deerfield Beach, FL.Visit www.unclejulios.com for more information and locations near you.
