Due to the rapid increase in oil and gas production throughout West Texas, the population of Midland/Odessa has boomed in recent years. To keep up with the population surge, many new schools are being built on an ongoing basis.
The Ector County ISD is comprised of six high schools, six middle schools and 20 elementary schools. Together with MW Builders out of Temple, Texas Bomanite has just completed work on 3 new elementary schools, Dr. Lee Buice Elementary, G. E. Buddy West Elementary and Downing Elementary. Each school spanned 46,590 SF of diamond polished concrete to an 800 grit with Salt and Pepper aggregate exposure for a modern look and feel and maximum durability. Additionally, the floors were sealed with FGS Hardener Plus.
